Shop the Look: Devon's Own Home

DGI is frequently asked for sources on the furniture and accessories we share in our photos. And while we are so flattered that you love the look enough to shop it yourself, we typically do not share the resources out of respect to our clients. However, if you’ve been following along with DGI you know that Devon recently completed a renovation of her own home. So this week on our blog, we’re inviting you to shop the look of Devon’s home! She’s sharing all of her favorite furniture pieces and accessories that she incorporated into the design of her Japandi style loft.

In today’s culture, working from home is the norm, so Devon and Mike each set up their own office spaces in the home. In Devon’s office, a high gloss white-lacquer desk with open shelving on one side and drawers on the other provides a functional space that also looks minimal.

In the open den, the Crate and Barrel Flex system wraps an entire wall, with closed cabinets and an open desk area. The modular system allows you to completely customize it to your needs.

A sheepskin is always a good option for a home office or a room with a sofa-bed because it can easily move around as needed and provides a soft, plush touch.

In the primary bedroom, Devon and Mike opted for a light and airy feel with a linear motif to add dimension and contrast.

This bed is pulls in an upholstered headboard (perfect for reading in bed) with a modern, sculptural twist.

Every bedroom deserves a plush, shaggy rug to step onto.

Devon and Mike chose sculptural, minimal nightstands with a drawer and open niche for easy-to-grab books.

This chunky texture and graphic stripe adds a pop of contrast to any room.

No bedroom is complete without extra soft sheets to crawl into.

In the living room, a large corner sectional anchors the space with a custom marble coffee table to add dimension. Between the living room and dining room, a fluted wood credenza provides additional storage and adds some contrast.

In their own home, a customized RH Cloud provides the perfect space to stretch out at the end of a long day. Here’s a link to a more cost effective modular option.

This rug provides the perfect soft texture and shade of gray for the space.

Devon and Mike had a coffee table made custom by Beckerworks to fit their space perfectly, but we found a similar option from DWR that is available in multiple types of stone and sizes.

These pillows by Stitched by Grace were originally from their old home and fit perfectly into the new aesthetic.

For hard to reach areas that you want to soften and style, faux draping plants are always the perfect solution.

Originally the media cabinet in their old home, this credenza became the perfect piece to separate the living and dining areas. The fluted doors and warm wood tone create a beautiful texture for any home.

Devon originally used these counterstools on a client’s project and loved them so much, she knew they had to make an appearance in her own home someday.

Beauty meets function. This minimal fruit bowl looks beautiful on any countertop and makes snacking throughout the day a breeze.

In the powder room, Devon and Mike went for a blacked out look with brass accents.

Some of our most asked questions are about the gallery wall in Mike & Devon’s home. Don’t worry - we’re working on something to help you achieve this gallery wall look. But until then, we’re giving you the details on the frames Devon installed on her wall!

Thin frames and large white mats help balance out the photos in order to not overwhelm the wall.

We really hope you enjoyed taking a look through the shoppable finds throughout Devon’s own home! We would love to hear how you styled these pieces so be sure to tag us on instagram if you bring any of them into your own home!
