Illume Condo
Our latest tour takes you through the new condo we just completed in West Loop’s newest building, Illume. We used wallcoverings and custom built-ins to add some personality for this adorable young family. This concrete wallcovering creates a textural accent wall in the living room and ties in with the industrial nature of the neighborhood. For the media console, we wanted to create some closed storage for the kid’s toys and a spot to tuck a pouf for additional seating. We worked with Icon Modern to create an asymmetrical live-edge surface with sleek closed storage below.
In the dining area, we tied in the concrete texture with the extendable table and surrounded it with sculptural, woven chairs, carrying the global-inspired theme through the home. To keep things cohesive, we chose woven counterstools to balance things out.
In the entryway and hallway, we kept things simple and clean to mitigate clutter but still added in some personality with a gallery wall of family photos along with oversized hooks and a mirror to expand the space.
We carried the theme of moody wall-coverings into the powder room with a global-inspired black on black paper by Relativity Textiles.
Last but not least, we added some moody textures to the master bedroom to create cohesion with the rest of the apartment, and of course a dreamy wallcovering to complete the space.
