INTRODUCING: ZEN HAVEN
This custom luxury home is a collaboration between Savane Design + Build and our talented DGI Design x Build team. Together, we are crafting a unique, family-friendly oasis for a wonderful family moving to Chicago from Brooklyn, NY.
Our clients are transitioning from their beautifully gut-renovated 2,000 sq. ft. condo in Brooklyn, which, while stunning, lacked the cozy and family-friendly atmosphere they desired. Their relocation is the perfect opportunity to create their dream home; creating a warm and inviting home with enough space for the whole family became paramount.
Our design inspiration for this project revolves around the following key phrases:

Minimal Detailing
To achieve this vision, we are incorporating a palette of warm neutrals—think warm taupe, brown, cream, and khaki—accented by pops of green and rust through furniture and plants. These colors create a harmonious and welcoming environment for a family.
BLENDING TRANSITIONAL + MODERN DESIGN
The home's architecture leans towards a transitional style characterized by clean lines and a balance of traditional and contemporary elements. We are integrating modern furniture pieces that complement the overall aesthetic to prevent the space from feeling too traditional. This blend ensures that the home feels both timeless and current.
EMPHASIZING TEXTURE + SPECIAL SPACES
As with all our projects, texture is crucial in adding depth and interest. Key areas throughout the house will feature plaster finishes, including the front living room, the double-height family room fireplace, the kitchen hood, and the primary suite. These plastered surfaces add a layer of sophistication and tactile appeal, enhancing the home's cozy ambiance.
